Authorities respond to a multi-vehicle accident in Compton

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Thursday, April 19th 2018, at about 8:49 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving several vehicles on the northbound of Interstate 710 and Alondra Avenue in the city of Compton.

Initially, the report stated that a grey Nissan Cube crashed onto the center divider in a single-vehicle collision and resulted in a smoking vehicle. In addition, a big rig and a Kia Hatchback were the vehicle involved in a traffic collision in the No. 2 lane, as stated by officials. Moreover, The Kia suffered front-end damage, according to authorities.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.

Furthermore, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Additionally, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
