At least 1 person injured in car accident on the 15 Freeway south of W Bernardo Dr in San Diego

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Tuesday, April 17th 2018, at about 4:00 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a truck accident that involved several vehicles took place on Interstate 15, just south of West Bernardo Drive in the city of San Diego.

Moreover, authorities reported that a Honda Accord, a Toyota Prius, a Toyota Highlander and a big rig were traveling northbound on I-5 when the accident occurred.  The vehicles managed to pull over to the right hand shoulder, as mentioned by CHP.

In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.

Currently, this incident is undergoing review by officials as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision.  Further details will be made available at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
