Motorcyclist hospitalized ensuing traffic collision on southbound US 101 at beginning of bridge in Marin County
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Sunday, April 1st, 2018, at about 12:50 p.m., a motorcyclist was injured as a result of a traffic accident that took place on southbound US Highway 101, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County.
The police report indicated that the vehicles involved were a Porsche SUV and a motorcycle. The left two lanes were reportedly blocked as a result of the accident with the motorcycle posing a traffic hazard. Authorities had to transport injured parties to the East Lot of the bridge in order to be picked up by paramedics.
In addition, the motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics, however the condition of the injured party is unknown. Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.
Currently, this incident is undergoing review by officials as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision. Further details will be made available at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
