Motorcyclist hospitalized ensuing car crash on the 215 Freeway east of Castro Valley Blvd in Castro Valley
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Friday, March 30th 2018, at about 5:40 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on Interstate 215, just east of Castro Valley Blvd in the city of Castro Valley.
Furthermore, authorities mentioned that a silver Toyota Prius struck the motorcyclist while traveling westbound on I-580. The motorcyclist was able to get up and move the motorcycle to the right hand shoulder, as stated by officials.
In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured victim.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash. Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
