Motorcycle collision resulted in injuries on the 680 Freeway south of N Main St in Walnut Creek

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Saturday, April 14th 2018, at about 6:09 p.m. a motorcyclist was injured as a result of a vehicle collision that took place on Interstate 680, just south of North Main Street in the city of Walnut Creek.

Furthermore, authorities mentioned that a white Ford Explorer struck a motorcyclist while both were traveling southbound on I-680.  The rider was found down in the No. 4 lane of the interstate when officials arrived, as stated by CHP.

In addition, the motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics, however the condition of the injured rider are unknown at this time.  Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
