Motorcyclist hospitalized ensuing vehicle collision on the 5 Freeway near Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles

A police report by California Highway Patrol stated that on Friday, March 30th 2018, a traffic accident that involved a motorcycle on Interstate 405 near Santa Monica Boulevard in the city of Los Angeles sent a motorcyclist to the hospital.

Moreover, at about 2:34 p.m. the motorcyclist was struck by another vehicle while traveling northbound on I-405, according to officials.  Authorities reported that the rider was down on the roadway when officials arrived.

Additionally, the motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, however the severity of the injuries sustained by the victim are unknown.  Officials have not released the age or name of the injured victim yet.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
