Multi-vehicle accident on eastbound I-80 near Powell St resulted in at least 1 injury
According to a California Highway Patrol police report a traffic collision involving several vehicles resulted in the hospitalization of at least one motorist. The accident took place on the eastbound 80 freeway just west of Powell Street near an Ikea on Thursday, April 26 2018, at about 4:37 p.m.
Additionally, at least 4 other vehicles were involved in a wreck causing the No. 3 and 4 lanes to be blocked on the eastbound 80 freeway, as stated by CHP officials. Authorities did not mention details about any vehicles involved except for a black street bike.
At least one motorist was transported to a nearby hospital, however there is no update on their current condition. Authorities have not yet released any information the injured party.
Currently, this incident is under investigation and further updates will be reported as the news develops.
