Traffic accident on the Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway near the Travis Blvd on-ramp in Fairfield leaves a motorcyclist dead
As reported in a CHP police report, on February 4 2018, at around 5:32 p.m. a traffic accident on the on Highway 80 near Travis Blvd in the city of Fairfield left a motorcyclist dead.
Moreover, the vehicles involved in the accident were described as a dark grey vehicle and a motorcycle. CHP said that both the vehicles were traveling east on the 80 Freeway before colliding with each other.
In addition, when officials arrived on scene the rider of the motorcycle was unresponsive laying down on the freeway road. Authorities closed the freeway while officials cleared up the collision, according to CHP.
This crash currently remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash. Further details will be reported at a later time once officials have brought the investigation to an end.
