Motorcyclist injured ensuing traffic collision

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Sunday, April 15th 2018, at about 6:49 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving several vehicles on the southbound of Interstate 5 near Calgrove Boulevard in the city of Santa Clarita.

In addition, the report stated that a motorcycle, maroon Ford SUV and grey sedan were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision. Moreover, the motorcycle rider is down in No. 1 lane and has an open wound on the left leg, according to authorities.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.

Furthermore, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Additionally, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
