One person killed on Highway 242 near Concord Avenue in Concord after motorcycle collision

According to a local news article, on Friday morning, April 20th, 2018, approximately at 6:43 am, a motorcycle collision occurred on State Route 242 near Concord Avenue in Concord killing one person.

Moreover, the motorcyclist, identified as Brandon McCole, was riding southbound on Highway 242 and was splitting lanes between number 1 and number 2 lanes, mentioned the report. In addition, the motorcyclist had to quickly slow for some reason and crashed into a Infinity SUV on the number 2 lane, stated the report.

Furthermore, the Infinity SUV was being driven by a pregnant woman and was transported to John Muir Hospital without any injuries, stated the authorities.

In addition, the emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene to help the motorcyclist who was trapped under the SUV, report stated.

As mentioned, the motorcyclist was removed from underneath the car and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in this incident.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
