Mario Soto-Landa was a passenger who died in a car crash that took place in the 500 block of Sonoma Boulevard in Vallejo, CA. late Thursday evening, according to a local news article.

As reported in the news article, the accident occurred at about 5:19 p.m. on Thursday evening when a 22-year-old man driving a black 2002 Honda Accord lost control and drifted across the double-yellow lines in the northbound lanes of Sonoma Boulevard.

The Honda struck a silver 2018 Dodge Challenger traveling in the southbound lanes, officials stated.

As a result, both vehicles struck two parked cars at the curb, and a passenger inside the Honda Accord, identified as Mario Soto-Landa, sustained major injuries.

When paramedics arrived, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Additionally, the driver of the Honda Accord also suffered major injuries and required transportation to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Moreover, a 23-year-old driver of the Challenger also suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital as well.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
