Richmond woman killed in overnight crash

According to a recent article from East bay Times, there was a fatal car accident on Sunday in which a Richmond woman was killed.

The article reports that the accident occurred on Sunday at about 2:50 a.m. when three vehicles crashed on the Interstate 80 Freeway  near the Albany exit.  The three vehicles were described as an SUV and two sedans.

The Alameda County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased woman as Maria Milan-Hernandez, a 25-year-old Richmond resident.

Reportedly, there was also at least one other victim who suffered moderate injuries in the car crash, said CHP.  The exact details of how many people were injured was not made clear in the report.

Traffic lanes were closed down for nearly three hours before lanes were open again.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.

Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
