Multi-vehicle collision resulted in fatality and injuries in Poway
According to a news report from onscene.tv, an ambulance and the coroner was dispatched to the scene of a traffic collision involving multiple vehicles on Monday, April 9th 2018, at approximately 4:34 p.m., on Community Road and Metate Lane in the city of Poway.
In addition, the report stated that a gray KIA Optima was traveling southbound on Community Road side-swiping a Honda, then lost control, veered to the left, jumped the curb to the center median and came in the opposite lanes of travel. As the KIA came in the opposite lanes of travel, it was hit by a red pick-up truck then hit by a white Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck, as stated by officials.
Moreover, the male driver of the KIA was pronounced deceased on the scene and coroner shortly arrived, as stated by authorities.
Furthermore, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to Palomar Hospital by paramedics. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured parties at this time.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
