Lenexy and Camila Cardoza Killed in Fatal Crash on Somersville Road

Two girls identified as Lenexy and Camila Cardoza were killed as the result of a deadly car accident that took place on Somersville Road near Highway 4 in Antioch, CA, according to local news source SFGate.

As mentioned in the news release, two little girls identified as Lenexy Cardoza, 4, and Camila, 2, were killed after a car crash took place on Wednesday due to an car thief suspect that was fleeing law enforcement and crashed into their vehicle after running a red light.

Due to the crash, all three occupants, Lenexy, Camila, and their mother, Edith sustained major injury.  According to the source, Edith is currently recovering in the intensive care unit.

Additionally, Lenexy was pronounced dead at the scene, said officials.  Camila was transported to a local trauma center after the crash where she was placed on life-support until Sunday, when she had succumbed to her injuries.

What initially occurred was reported when a stolen Ford F-250 pickup truck was followed by sheriff’s deputies from Bailey Road onto eastbound Highway 4, where the suspect, 23-year-old Noe Saucedo, attempted to speed away at the Somersville Road exit, where he shortly after ran a red light and crashed into the victims in their F-150.

Authorities arrested the 23-year-old Pittsburg resident on suspicion of murder and evading police, as well as a second charge of murder.  Saucedo is currently being held at Martinez Detention Facility in lieu of $1.05 million bail.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
