Fire crews spotted van in ocean after six-vehicle hit-and-run car accident

A van crashed into six-vehicles just north of Yerba Buena Road on Pacific Coast Highway last Thursday night, causing at least two victims to be injured as a result, said a report from Onscene.TV.

As mentioned in the report, the accident happened at about 11:18 p.m. when LASO deputies were in pursuit of an erratic van traveling northbound on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

The accident happened after the deputies lost visual of the van, when it crashed into six other vehicles near Yerba Buena Road, sources said.

Furthermore, the van was spotted in the ocean afterwards by fire crews.  The van was confirmed to be unoccupied after crews inspected the crashed van.  The driver appeared to have fled the scene following the crash.

Additionally, rescue crews were able to transport at least two victims to the hospital with moderate injuries, and at least one other was treated on-site for minor injuries.

LASO Lost Hills also mentioned that the van reportedly struck 15 other vehicles during the police chase.

Currently, the crash is being investigated by LASO Lost Hills, and the suspect is still not located.  Further details will be released once the investigation is over.
