Multi-Car crash in Merced County on the SR-99

On Friday evening around 8:30 P.M, the CHP was called to investigate two cars stalled on the CA-99 highway on the right hand shoulder and center divider in the city of Modesto, according to a recent CHP incident log.

A tan Honda Accord was facing the opposite direction of traffic near the center divider and the vehicle on the right hand shoulder was unnamed, according to the incident log.

CHP arrived on the scene approximately at 8:32 p.m. Authorities stated that a tow truck was requested to removed both vehicles safely from the highway.

Eventually the tow truck made its way to both vehicles around 8:43 p.m. and each vehicle was safety taken to the right hand shoulder. No serious or life threatening injuries were reported between both parties, although the incident log indicated that there was an “unknown injury.”
