At least one person injured in multi-vehicle accident in HOV lane on I-210 freeway by Irwindale Ave. exit

On Tuesday night, California Highway Patrol responded to a multi-vehicle accident in the HOV lane where at least one person was injured on the Interstate 210 freeway near Irwindale Avenue exit.

As stated by the officials, the accident occurred when a semi truck collided with a grey Kia Optima inside the car-pool lane causing a blockage for on-coming vehicles approaching in high speeds. According to the report, the semi truck was moved to the right hand shoulder when cars collided with the Kia Optima causing a second collision and injuries. Paramedics was immediately called to assist with the injured people involved in the wreck. Authorities still hasn’t released any information regarding the injured people that was hurt by the accident.

Furthermore, as stated by the CHP report, the local fire department and tow trucks were called onto the scene when several cars were reported to be smoking and to help relieve the blockage in the far left lane of the freeway.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
