Car crash on westbound 50 Freeway and 5th Street on-ramp in South Sacramento injures at least one person
According to the police report, on Sunday, April 15th, 2018, around 3:37 pm, at least one person was injured on westbound US-50 and 5th Street on-ramp in Sacramento.
As mentioned in the report, authorities arrived on the scene to find two vehicles blocking the middle lane of the 5th street on-ramp. In addition, the two vehicles involved in the incident were identified as a black Toyota Camry and a grey Prius, mentioned the report.
It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in this incident.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.
In addition, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by medical personnel. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
