Car crash on Highway 1 near Via Entrada in San Luis Obispo injures at least one person

According to a local news report, on Saturday morning, April 21st, 2018, approximately at 5:56 am, a car collision took place on Highway 1 near Via Entrada in San Luis Obispo injuring at least one person.

Moreover, the two vehicles involved in the collision were identified as a Nissan Xterra and a big-rig, mentioned the report.

In addition, there was visibility hazard due to heavy fog when the collision occurred, stated the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Reportedly, the emergency personnel arrived on the scene and offered medical aid to the injured victims, stated the report.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in this incident.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.

In addition, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by medical personnel. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
