One pedestrian killed in a car collision at West Foothill Boulevard and O’Connor Way in San Luis Obispo

According to the Tribune, a car crash occurred Wednesday evening on Foothill Boulevard and O’Connor Way in San Luis Obispo resulting in one dead.

The report states that at approximately 10:00 p.m. Kevin Jourdan of Grover Beach was walking across West Foothill Boulevard when he was hit by a car that was being driven by Lucas Munos, 22, of Los Osos.

Officials state that the victim, Kevin Jourdan, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol officer Jordan Richards says Lucas Munos was unable to avoid hitting Jourdan and that it was unintentional.

Authorities report the victim may have been intoxicated when the collision occurred. Officials report there was a strong odor of alcohol coming from the victim. An autopsy and toxicology reports are pending.

The driver did not appear to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to officials
