Kevin Emerzian among 3 injured in bicycle crash with DUI driver
According to a recent article, there was a motorcycle accident on Auberry Road near East Copper Avenue in Clovis last Tuesday in which Kevin Emerzian and two other bicyclists were injured.
As mentioned in the article, Lou Major, 43, Kevin Emerzian, 57, and Richard Gabel, 36, were injured in an accident just after 6:00 p.m. when the bicyclists left Steven’s Bicycles Shop. Riding their bicycles on Auberry Road, they were struck by 63-year-old Patrick Holmes, who had lost control of his Harley-Davidson motorbike, sources said.
The three bicyclist victims were transported by paramedics to Community Regional Medical Center after the collision with major injuries. Currently, Major and Emerzian remain in serious condition, while Gable’s condition has stabilized.
Patrick Holmes was found to have been driving under the influence, and was arrested by California Highway Patrol officers on a felony DUI charge. Holmes was booked into the Fresno County jail, said sources.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the details of this crash and further information will be released once the investigation has concluded.
