Truck driver killed in fatal Mother’s Day crash, another severely injured
According to a recent press release from Victor Valley News Group, a 45-year-old truck driver from Anaheim was killed in a trucking accident on the I-15 Freeway near Nisqualli Road on Mother’s Day.
Per the news, California Highway Patrol responded to the accident on the southbound 15 Freeway, where they spotted a box truck that was crashed into a guard rail and the La Mesa/Nisqualli freeway sign.
45-year-old Kevin Bussey was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim, a resident of Anaheim, was apparently driving a box truck for Moving Stars Inc., a moving company. For reasons unknown, the driver crashed into a metal guardrail and subsequently the freeway sign.
Another man was involved in the incident and after being ejected, paramedics airlifted the victim to a local hospital for treatment of his severe injuries, although his condition remains unknown, according to the article.
Currently, the crash remains under investigation by the Victorville California Highway Patrol office. Authorities are working to determine the cause of the crash, and new information will be released as it is updated.
