Lamont Taylor and Kenneth Riddle killed in traffic accident on the 8 Freeway near El Cajon Blvd in La Mesa

As mentioned in a local news article by NBC San Diego, on Sunday, April 8th 2018, at about 1:30 a.m. 46-year-old Kenneth Riddle and 35-year-old Lamont Taylor were killed after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 8 near El Cajon Boulevard in the city of La Mesa.

Furthermore, authorities did not give a description of the vehicles involved but did state that Taylor lost control of his vehicle and hit the center divider.  When Riddle saw the collision he pulled over to assist Taylor.  Taylor and Riddle were standing on the first lane of the freeway when another vehicle struck them both, according to the article.

In addition, both men were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the victims.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
