Woman killed and two others injured in a car crash on Vasco and Marsh Creek Roads

According to SFGATE, a fatal car crash at the intersection of Vasco and Marsh Creek Roads in Brentwood left one woman dead and two others injured on Sunday Evening.

Authorities state, around 4:11 p.m Sunday, a white Hyundai sedan was making a left turn onto Vasco Road from Marsh Creek Road when a red Cadillac sedan slammed into the car while heading south on Vasco Road.

The Hyundai was sent through the intersection and into a pole, California Highway Patrol reported.

Additionally, the Cadillac continued and hit a black Honda that was stopped on the other side of the road causing minor damage, commented the authorities.

The driver and passenger of the Cadillac were treated for minor injuries at Sutter Delta Medical Center and the driver and passenger of the Hyundai were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, sources said.

Furthermore, authorities have reported the passenger of Hyundai to be Jutta Nuich-Pickthall, 95, of Lincoln and pronounced her dead at 7:13 p.m. in John Muir Medical Center.

Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.

This incident is currently being investigated and further details will be released at a later time.
