16-year-old killed in deadly accident, two other teens suffer major injuries after crash

According to a recent article from CBS Sacramento, there was a deadly accident reported in rural Dixon on Wednesday night on Pedrick Road just north of Dixon Avenue in which three teenagers were involved, and one of which was killed.

Per the article, a 2004 Ford Mustang was reported by California Highway Patrol speeding on Pedrick Road just before 9 p.m.  Stated by officials, the driver, a 16-year-old, lost control, steering the car off the freeway and crashing into a tree before flipping over.

Medics pronounced the driver dead at the scene when they arrived.  Furthermore, two other passengers, a 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, were able to get out of the wreckage but suffered moderate to major injuries.  According to CHP officials, all three teens were wearing their seatbelts.

Additionally, the Solano County Coroner’s Office was able to identify the teen killed as Juan Aguirre, a Winters resident.

Authorities have stated that drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash.  The accident remains under investigation and new information will be released at a later time.
