Driver from San Diego died at the hospital after his vehicle crashed into three other cars in Miramar

Joshua Scott, 27, received major head injuries from the car crash involving four vehicles on Interstate 15 just north of State Route 163 in Miramar and later died at the hospital, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.

As previously published, Scott was involved in a four car crash and ejected from his vehicle onto Interstate 15. Updated information reveals that Scott was not wearing a seat belt before the accident occurred, according to Miramar county Medical Examiner’s Office. Furthermore, they stated that Scott was going at least 100 mph.

The drivers of the other vehicles involved in the crash, a 30-year-old man from La Mesa, a 56-year-old woman from San Diego, and a 60-year-old-woman also from San Diego, were unhurt according to California Highway Patrol. Sources say that Scott’s passenger received minor injuries.

Complete details regarding the crash are still under investigation and will be released as they become available.
