Two pedestrians suspected to be intoxicated resulted in a fatal accident

According to a news report from the Times-Herald, on Sunday, April 15th 2018, at about 12:55 a.m., two pedestrians were killed by a vehicle on W Avenue J and Elm Avenue in the city of Lancaster.

In addition, the report stated that 24-year-old Joshua Molina and his woman companion walked into the lanes of travel from Elm Avenue into the path of a Chevrolet Cruz. Moreover, the driver of the Chevy Cruz was unable to avoid the pedestrians and struck them both, according to authorities.

As a result, Molina and his female companion were pronounced dead at the scene, as stated by officials. Also, information gathered by investigators stated that Molina may have been intoxicated.

Furthermore, authorities stated that the driver of the Chevy Cruz stayed at the scene and called 911.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
