Passenger killed and driver suffered major injuries in single-vehicle rollover crash
According to an article released by Turnto23, there was an accident that took place near the intersection of Porterville Highway and Garces Highway east of Delano on Friday morning, leaving one man dead.
As mentioned by the article, the car accident took place at the intersection on Friday morning, said California Highway Patrol.
The roadway was closed temporarily for medical services and for roadway crews to clear the debris.
Coroner officials were able to identify the deceased victim as 82-year-old John Fredric Brierly, a Santa Ana resident.
Currently, there are no details that inform how the accident took place, although the collision is currently under investigation.
