22-year-old Jose Hernandez arrested after fleeing scene of car crash

Bicyclist James Raby was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver named Jose Hernandez near Weber and Princeton Avenue in Fresno, according to a local news article.

Raby was struck on his bike near Weber and Princeton Avenues by Hernandez’s vehicle, which came from behind, said officials.  He died at the scene of the accident, reportedly.

The 22-year-old driver fled the scene and was later located by authorities who found the suspect near Ashlan and Blythe when they located a car driving without a tire.

Additionally, they connected the damaged vehicle to the hit-and-run and took the driver into custody.  Hernandez was charged with felony hit and run, felony DUI, and vehicular manslaughter.

Currently, the traffic collision is being investigated by the authorities, and further information will be relayed at a later time.
