Passenger injured and 19-year-old driver killed in single-vehicle crash

The 19-year-old Fontana woman died on Tuesday morning after a rollover truck crash occurred at Cherry Avenue and Bridlepath Drive in Fontana.

As mentioned in multiple sources, the accident happened just before 1:00 a.m. when a 19-year-old driver identified as Isabel Pineda-Magana drove a 2002 Chevy Silverado on Bridlepath Drive.

Following a left turn, she lost control and struck the center divider, rolling the vehicle over several times before she and her passenger were ejected from the truck.

Pineda-Magana was transported by paramedics to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, sources cited.  She was later pronounced dead at 1:35 a.m. according to the coroner’s office.

Her passenger also suffered major injuries, although it is unclear her current condition.

Fontana Police is currently investigating this incident and further investigation will warrant additional details in the related crash.
