Car accident injured at least 1 person on Interstate 280 near Bunker Hill Dr in San Mateo
As mentioned in a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Tuesday, March 12th 2018, at about 8:12 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic accident that took place on the 280 Freeway at the Bunker Hill Drive on-ramp in the city of San Mateo.
Furthermore, officials did not report a full description of the vehicles involved, but did mention that a dark color SUV and two other sedans were involved in the accident that resulted in injuries. The occupants of the vehicles involved were outside of their vehicles flashing lights from their cell phones to warn oncoming traffic, according to the report.
Additionally, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
Currently, this incident is undergoing review as officials work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision. Further information will be available at a later time once the investigation has been concluded.
