Injuries ensue hit-and-run accident on State Route 138 west of Interstate 15 in Phelan

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Sunday, March 18th 2018, at about 9:34 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a hit-and-run accident that took place on State Route 138, just west of Interstate 15 in the city of Phelan.

Furthermore, authorities mentioned that a female driving a sedan hit a big rig head on just after making an illegal U-turn on SR-138.  The driver of the sedan took off into the Highway, and the driver of the big rig took off after looking for the sedan, as stated in the report.

In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured or the severity of the injuries sustained.  Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured victim at this time.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
