Hemet pedestrian, 66, struck and killed by fleeing driver in fatal car crash at Florida Avenue and Mayflower Street

According to a recent article from Valley News, there was a hit-and-run fatal car crash at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Mayflower Street in which a 66-year-old pedestrian was killed.

The accident occurred at about 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the intersection when Hemet police arrived at the scene.

They discovered the victim, a Hemet resident, but the driver had already fled the scene after the traffic collision.

The victim’s name was not released at the time pending the notification of their kin.

Furthermore, the article reports that upon investigation, the driver left in white SUV, although they were not able to identify the driver at the time.

Currently, the crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine who the negligent driver at fault may be.
