Vehicle was leaking gas ensuing a head-on traffic collision
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Wednesday, April 18th 2018, at about 1:38 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a head-on traffic collision involving two vehicles on the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Meridian Street in the city of Duarte.
In addition, the report stated that a silver 2-door and a white truck were the vehicles involved in the head-on traffic collision. Moreover, one of the vehicle was leaking gas and Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived shortly after the incident occurred, according to CHP.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.
Furthermore, authorities stated that a hispanic male adult wearing a white tank top came out of one of the vehicles that was involved in the accident and was seen holding his neck and limping. Paramedics responded and transported injured parties to a nearby hospital. Additionally, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured parties at this time.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
