Markis Hart, Sarah Hart, Jennifer Hart, Jeremiah Hart, and Abigail Hart killed and 3 others missing in vehicle collision on Highway 1 in Mendocino

According to a local news source, on Monday, March 6th 2018, 19-year-old Markis Hart, 14-year-old Jeremiah Hart, 14-year-old Abigail Hart, 38-year-old Jennifer Jean Hart and wife Sarah Margaret Hart were killed and 15-year-old Devonte Hart, 16-year-old Hannah Hart, and Sierra Hart are missing as a result of a traffic collision that took place on Highway 1 in the city of Mendocino.

Moreover, authorities report that a 2003 GMC Yukon XL that the family was traveling in was found off a cliff at Westport.  The collision is believed to be intentional by authorities due to the fact that no skid marks were found and no sign of a crash near the embankment, as mentioned in an article.

In addition, on Saturday, April 7th 2018, authorities found the body of one of the missing children, however it will take several weeks for DNA test to confirm the identity of the child.

Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
