5 children ranging from 2-10 hospitalized after car blew out a tire

According to BakersfieldNow, there was a recent rollover crash on the Interstate 5 near the Highway 43 overpass in which several children were injured as a result.

The accident occurred on Sunday when an adult was driving an SUV southbound on the I-5 Freeway.

Authorities reported that one adult and five children were inside the vehicle when it suddenly rolled over, as the result of a tire being blown out.  Reportedly, the children’s ages ranged between 2-10.

Furthermore, it was reported that a few of the children were not wearing their seatbelts.  One of the children was reportedly airlifted to a hospital, whereas the others were transported via ground ambulance.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
