Bosch drove his vehicle into University Square shopping center into the path of motorcyclist

According to an article from the Press Democrat, there was a car accident on Wednesday evening in which a drunk driver turned directly into the path of a 23-year-old Rohnert Park man, killing him.

As mentioned in the article, the accident occurred on Snyder Lane just past Rosana Way, when 63-year-old Robert Bosch drove his 1999 Ford Ranger into the University Square shopping center.

Bosch turned directly into the path of a motorcyclist, causing a fatal collision, the source said.

Rohnert Park police responded to the accident and found Fabian Carreras-Hermosillo, the motorcyclist, seriously injured at the scene.  The victim died of his major head injuries shortly after 5:56 p.m, the source stated, while being transported to a local hospital by paramedics.

Furthermore, authorities determined that Bosch had a blood alcohol level of 0.26 percent, more than three times the limit, and the DUI driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.  Bosch was found wandering away from the scene, but was detained after showing signs of intoxication.

Friends and loved ones of the victim have created a GoFundMe page, in order to help the family with funeral costs, reported the article.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.

Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
