Aggressive suspect charged with murder in a hit-and-run incident
According to a news report from the SF GATE, on Wednesday, March 28th 2018, at about 10:30 a.m., one person was killed and at least one person was injured ensuing a bizarre hit-and-run incident on the intersection of 24th Street and Illinois Street in the city of San Fransisco.
Moreover, the article stated that 33-year-old Mark Dennis, driving a white Chevrolet SUV, reportedly got out of his vehicle carrying an ax, but it was taken by the men on the sidewalk, who whipped him with a belt. Dennis apparently got back on his vehicle, made a three-point turn and hit five people on the sidewalk, as stated by a dog walker who declined to be identified.
In addition, Mark Dennis was booked into the San Francisco County Jail and charged with one count of murder, four counts of attempted murder, six counts of assault with a deadly weapon that is not a firearm and four counts of assault causing great bodily injury, according to the San Francisco district attorney’s office.
Furthermore, 34-year-old Eliseo Lopez died on the scene, however it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to San Fransisco General Hospital by paramedics. Moreover, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
Currently, this incident is under review in an ongoing investigation by the authorities, and further details will be reviewed and released to the public as it is determined.
