Elderly pedestrian struck in roadway by SUV at La Mirada Boulevard

A woman with a walker was killed in a auto vs pedestrian car accident that took place on Tuesday afternoon on Imperial Highway east of La Mirada Boulevard, according to a news report from Onscene.TV

As mentioned in the article, the accident happened on Wednesday afternoon at about 4:46 p.m. in the city of La Mirada on Imperial Highway east of La Mirada Boulevard.

Authorities arrived at the scene and discovered one elderly female down on the ground with a walker.  Upon locating the victim, paramedics provided CPR in an attempt to stabilize her condition, according to the report.  The victim had to be transported to a nearby hospital in full traumatic arrest, officials stated.

Furthermore, the driver of the SUV who hit the elderly female remained at the scene following the collision and was cooperative with sheriff’s deputies in their interview.

Allegedly, authorities said that the woman may have already been in the roadway suffering from her own medical emergency before she was struck.

Currently, the crash investigation is ongoing and further details will be reported later.
