Elderly man killed in hit-and-run crash in front of Big Valley Church

An elderly pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run car collision that took place early morning Wednesday in Modesto at Tully Road between Palmilla Drive and Snyder Avenue, reported a local KCRA news article. 

As mentioned in the article, a 60-to 70-year-old pedestrian was found on the ground in front of Big Valley Church on Tully Road with visible injuries and when authorities arrived, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, police stated that the man was struck by a car that fled the scene prior to officers arriving, the article said.

Furthermore, officers state that the suspect vehicle was a 2001 to 2003 black Honda Civic based on evidence that police had found.

No other information was released, according to the article.
