41-year-old Hesperia woman dead after pickup trucks collide

A traffic collision took place between Acorn and Pine Tree Roads on Highway 138 in Pinon Hills, leaving passenger Delmy Mejia Viera dead at the scene, according to a recent article from 247headline.

As mentioned in the report, the 41-year-old resident of Hesperia was killed at about 1:30 p.m. when the woman was hit in a two-vehicle head-on car crash between a GMC dual axle truck and a GMC Sierra truck.   Per the statement, the GMC dual-axle pickup truck crossed into the eastbound lane, colliding into the GMC Sierra.

Officials stated that both vehicles sustained major damages.  Additionally, Viera was located by authorities who found her trapped inside the GMC Sierra.  After being extricated from the vehicle, paramedics pronounced the victim dead at about 1:45 p.m.

Additionally, there were others hurt, although it was not mentioned how many other victims there were.  Authorities were able to airlift the injured victims to local trauma centers for treatment.

Currently, the traffic collision is being investigated by the authorities, and further information will be relayed at a later time.
