Orange Coast College student pronounced dead at scene of crash

Colin Halleland died in a motorcycle crash that occurred on San Remo and Paseo Westpark in Irvine at approximately 5:45 PM on Monday, according to Patch.com

The 18-year-old student died in the collision involving his motorcycle and a woman driving another vehicle, according to the Irvine Police Department. Currently, it is reported that the woman involved in the accident did not receive injuries.

Paseo Westpark was closed between Alton and Barranca to help in the investigation into crash, according to sources. It is expected to reopen by 12:30 PM on Tuesday.

The identity of the woman involved in the accident is currently not released. It is also unknown if there were other passengers in her vehicle at the time of the collision.

The investigation into this accident is still ongoing. Further details will be released as it becomes available to the public.
