One injured in two vehicle car crash on Clovis Avenue near Highway 99 in Fowler
According to local news sources, a car crash occurred Thursday April 5th, 2018, around 5:00 pm, on Clovis Avenue near Highway 99 Overpass in Fowler injuring one person.
In addition, the man injured in the collision was a California Highway Patrol officer, stated the article. The CHP officer was exiting the southbound Highway 99 when he was struck by a southbound Honda SUV at Clovis Avenue, said sources.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the injured CHP officer to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the Honda SUV was identified as a 40-year-old man, the article reported. In addition, the Honda driver was not injured, authorities confirmed.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by authorities.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
