Investigation is ongoing to determine whether drugs or alcohol was involved or not

Carlos Perez Ramirez was killed and a 28-year-old Reedley woman suffered moderate injuries after a fatal two-vehicle car accident on New Year’s Eve near Buttonwillow and Huntsman Avenues in Reedley, according to a local news article.

As reported in the article, the accident occurred on New Year’s Eve in Reedley at about 11:59 a.m. when police responded to the scene near Buttonwillow and Huntsman Avenues to discover one vehicle, “fully engulfed in flames.”

Authorities found the victim on the ground, not breathing.  He was believed to be the driver of one of the vehicles involved.

Additionally, a 28-year-old Reedley woman also suffered moderate injuries.  She was found to be the driver of the other vehicle.

A later release indicated that 28-year-old Carlos Perez Ramirez was pronounced dead after being transported to Adventist Health Medical Center.

Currently, the details of this accident are being uncovered in an ongoing investigation by the authorities and new information will be relayed in a later published report.
