At least 1 person injured in traffic accident on the 680 Freeway south of Vargas Rd in Fremont

According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Friday, March 30th 2018, at about 11:01 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on Interstate 680, just south of Vargas Road in the city of Fremont.

Furthermore, authorities stated that a white Nissan Sentra and a white Toyota Corolla were the traveling southbound on I-680 when the collision occurred.  The accident caused damages to the rear-end of the Toyota and front-end of the Nissan, as mentioned by CHP.

In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured, however at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics.  Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured victim.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
