At least 1 person injured in vehicle collision on the 5 Freeway near Van Nuys Blvd in Arleta

A police report by California Highway Patrol stated that on Wednesday, May 2nd 2018, a traffic accident that took place on Interstate 5 near Van Nuys Boulevard in the city of Arleta injured at least one person.

Moreover, at about 10:03 a.m. the vehicles involved in the accident were heading northbound on I-5 when the collision occurred, according to officials.  Authorities described the vehicles involved in a collision as a Mercedes-Benz and a Honda.

Additionally, at least one person was injured, however the severity of the injuries sustained by the victim are unknown.  Officials have not released the age or name of the injured victim yet.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
