Two vehicles flew off embankment in Fremont
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Sunday, April 15th 2018, at about 8:12 p.m., at least one person was injured ensuing a traffic collision involving several vehicles on the southbound of Interstate 680 and State Route 262 off-ramp in the city of Fremont.
In addition, the report stated that a white Chevrolet pick-up truck, silver Subaru, Toyota Tacoma and a BMW were the vehicles involved in the traffic collision. Moreover, authorities stated that the Toyota Tacoma flew off the embankment approximately 40 feet off the roadway while the BMW flew off at about 70 feet off the roadway.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked as authorities worked to clear the accident and a tow truck was required for the vehicles involved in the accident, as stated by CHP.
Furthermore, it is unclear how many were injured, but at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Additionally, authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
