Traffic collision on the 101 Freeway near Balboa Blvd in Encino left at least one person hospitalized

According to a police report by California Highway Patrol, on Thursday, March 8th, 2018 at about 12:57 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of traffic accident that took place on the 101 Freeway at the Balboa Boulevard on-ramp in the city of Encino.

Furthermore, authorities mentioned that a big rig, a box truck and a white Audi A4 were traveling southbound on Highway 101 before the collision occurred.  The accident caused rear-end damage to the Audi, as cited by CHP.

In addition, at least one person was transported to a near by hospital by paramedics, however authorities have no word on the condition of the injured party at this time.

Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.  Further details will be reported at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
