Collision on N Mission Rd on-ramp to southbound I-5 Freeway leaves one cyclist injured
According to a CHP police report, on Saturday, April 14th, 2018, at around 10:09 pm, one person was injured following a traffic collision involving a cyclist and a vehicle on the N Mission Rd on-ramp to the SB I-5 freeway in the city of Los Angeles.
Based off the police report, a cyclist was struck by a silver Hyundai Elantra on the on-ramp to the southbound I-5 Freeway. The identities of the driver of the vehicle and the cyclist were not disclosed; however, the report did state that the victim was male and that he was conscious after the accident.
The on-ramp was blocked as authorities worked to transport the injured party.
In addition, it was unclear of the extent of the victim’s injuries, but the victim was transported to the nearby LA County USC Medical Center by medical personnel. Authorities have not yet released any information on the injured party at this time.
Currently, this crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause and liable party in the crash.
