Car crash resulted in injuries on the 8 Freeway east of Interstate 5 in San Diego
According to a California Highway Patrol police report, on Monday, April 23rd 2018, at about 11:23 p.m. at least one person was injured as a result of a traffic collision that took place on Interstate 8, just east of the 5 Freeway in the city of San Diego.
Furthermore, authorities did not give a description of the vehicles involved but did mention that two vehicles were traveling eastbound on I-8 when the accident occurred. The collision caused the vehicles to go off the road way and into a tree, as stated by CHP.
In addition, it is unclear how many people were injured however at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics. Authorities have not yet released any additional information on the injured party.
Currently, this incident is undergoing review by officials as they work to determine the exact cause and liable party of the collision. Further details will be made available at a later time once the investigation has concluded.
